Our "why"
We created the I work U play Association in 2022 because we want to contribute to:
- Guaranteeing every parent’s access to a professional life, financial autonomy, and therefore freedom of choice on an individual scale.
- Providing solutions so that the arrival of children is not systematically synonymous with a woman stopping or reducing her working hours.
- Enabling unattended children to socialize outside the home and benefit from the richness of intergenerational exchange thanks to our volunteers of all ages.
I work U play is a coworking space that enables parents to concentrate on their professional projects while their children are being looked after in the day-care-like center.
Although it’s de facto mostly women who stop or slow down their working lives with the arrival of children, we’re aimed at any parent (father or mother) who wants to benefit from a space and time to concentrate on their professional project.
Our aim is to help parents who don't have childcare in their pursuit of finding a job.

Helping others
You give a little of your time to help look after other children, and we guarantee you several half-days to concentrate on your professional projects. It’s a win-win situation!

We welcome you without judgment, whatever your situation. Our aim is to provide you with the support you need to develop your professional project or get back on your feet.

You are invited to treat all members, beneficiaries, and volunteers with respect, as you would like to be treated yourself.

By participating, you become part of a network of parents. We also encourage intergenerational links between elders and children.

We know that combining parenthood and professional life is sometimes almost impossible. All three of us are parents, and all three are lawyers who wanted to put our energy into a cause that makes sense and help all those who think “it’s too complicated” or “it’s not possible.”

Aurélia Jeanjean

Aurélia is the mother of two children and has a degree in international business. Rigorous and attentive to everyone’s needs, Aurelia supervises the daycare center, ensuring that every child and every volunteer finds their place.
Vanessa Gandolfi
Human Ressources and Development Strategy
After ten years of expatriation and running a successful business, Vanessa recently returned to Europe. As the mother of two children, she was touched by the difficulties of caring for children in the region. Every day, she shares her knowledge of human resources and her entrepreneurial experience to help our project run smoothly.

With fifteen years of experience in banking and a recent diploma from HEG Geneva (CAS fund-raising), Evelyne puts her newly-acquired knowledge at the service of the association to develop a network of winning partnerships.

Manon was keen to put her experience in finance and project management to good use in a meaningful mission. That’s how she came to work alongside Evelyne to set up a network of winning partnerships.

When Alexandra became a mother, she realized just how challenging the lack of childcare solutions can be. Since then, she has been committed to helping others. As a Marketing & Communications professional, she is committed to raising awareness of “I work U play” among parents and the media.

Our youngest member! With a Bachelor’s degree in Management and Business Administration under her belt, Emilie was looking to get involved. As she is sensitive to the cause of women, and in particular to the difficulties encountered by single mothers, it was only natural that she should join our team to manage our social networks.
Madeleine Lucas
Financial Controller
Madeleine has worked in this field for over 30 years and now puts her experience to work for the associations she cares about. She is committed to ensuring the sound management of our finances.
